1968
PROSISA starts marketing inorganic chemicals, such as acetic acid, acetone, hydrogen peroxide, sodium sulfate, Epsom salt, copper sulphate, ferrous sulphate, cobalt oxide and potassium iodate.
1973
First production facility is developed in Northern Mexico City. First products manufactured were ferrous, magnesium and cobalt sulphate, ferrous carbonate and copper oxide (black).
1974
The company QUELATOS DE MÉXICO, S.A. was founded in order to produce liquid EDTA chelates.
1975
The company NUTRIENTES PECUARIOS, S.A. was founded, devoted to mineral pre-mixing for feed stock production.
1980
A strategic alliance with SAN MARTÍN MINING CO. is defined and a new company MANGANESOS QUIMICOS DE HIDALGO, S.A. is founded. A production facility is built in en Pachuca, Mexico to produce manganese sulphate, having DUPONT as the main client for its agchemical division.
1980
A new back-office company is created to enhance administrative and support capacities for the diverse companies in the group.
1990
PROSISA starts evaluating international markets focusing in possible alliances, considering the new scenario of an open economy in Mexico
1991
A first international alliance is established with AMERICAN MULTITECH, CORP., (USA) for an exclusive distribution effort in Mexico for acid recovery system equipment, focusing mainly to steel industry
The water treatment products division is created.
1992
Second alliance, now with DAVIS WATER & WASTE INDUSTRIES, INC., (USA) a company devoted to the design, construction and equipment for water treatment plants, and technical support for products application.
A joint venture is signed with PVS Chemicals, Inc. (USA) for developing a new production facility in central Mexico focusing in ferric chloride, a product used in water treatment and photo stamping processes.
1994
The ferric chloride production plant is opened in Irapuato, Mex.
An exclusive distribution agreement is signed with PACIFIC IRON PRODUCTS, INC (MALASYA)
FAN SEPARATOR GMBH (GERMANY) appoints PROSISA as its exclusive distributor in Mexico for pork farms water treatment equipment
1995
The plant nutrition division is created. This division focuses on micronutrients for the Mexican market.
1996
Starts manganese oxide distribution for animal nutrition with an exclusive distribution agreement signed with a leading Mexican mining company.
2000
New distribution agreements are signed. Specialty plant nutrition products are distributed from Spain and boron based fertilizers from Peru.
2002.
Grupo Prosisa invests in a company devoted to port services, including stevedoring, custom clearance and land freight services.
2004
As China becomes an important player in the World arena, Grupo Prosisa looks for business relationships in the Asian country. SINMA Co. is the first agreement to be signed.
2005
Prosisa takes over the total control of Prosi-PVS Chemicals through the acquisition of the 50% of the stake owned by PVS Chemicals Inc. The relationship evolves from partnership to business collaboration.
2006
A new era begins in Prosisa; new high qualified executives join the force in order to enhance Prosisa’s position in the market.
2008
The first overseas branch office is opened in Zaragoza, Spain, focusing mainly in specialty plant nutrition in the Mediterranean rim.
